2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van production has just begun!
The current generation of the Sprinter Van was launched in 2006. Now, Mercedes-Benz is looking at replacing it with an all-new model by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
The home of the next-generation Sprinter will be Dusseldorf, but the company is also working on the construction of new production plants in South Carolina, since the old production facilities cannot meet the demand for these vans in the North American market.

2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter will be offered with two types of chassis with codes 2500 and 3500, both with a powerful and economical drive BlueTec diesel engine and a total output of 161 BHP.
The German car manufacturer announced that the average fuel consumption in this model will be up to 23 mpg, thanks to a number of systems that save fuel, such as exhaust gas recirculation, catalytic reduction, double stage cooling system. The vehicle will be equipped with improved automatic transmission with seven gears.
The increased wheelbase of the new model will provide even larger cargo space compared to the previous model.
- Crew vans will all have rear heat vent as standard equipment.
- Passenger vans will now have the roof top rear air conditioning as standard equipment. They also will have the auxiliary fuel fired heater with rear heat vents as standard on all passenger models.
- Some new options will be available like a leather covered steering wheel and body color painted front and rear bumpers.
2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Redesign
The design of the next generation Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van is modern and the lines of the front end of the vehicle are very reminiscent of some American truck vehicles. The cabin is large and it has all the necessary systems for a safe and comfortable ride. These systems include air conditioning, adjustable steering wheel for height and reach, numerous compartments for storing things, holders for water and drinks, height-adjustable armrest for the driver.
The entertainment system consists of CD/DVD player and four speakers, wireless music streaming system, Bluetooth telephone interface. Cruise Handle, automatic lights, heated mirrors, multifunctional steering, blind spot help system, interior LED lighting, help kit, and more will be available for an extra charge.
