We're sorry to hear about your troubles. These things can happen.
WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD:
What to do if a warning (indicator) light/message appears on the dash:
Mercedes Sprinter Vans come with many features, including safety and performance features, and numerous warning/indicator lights. These lights get triggered by extremely sensitive sensors. Even small factors like high outside temperatures, altitude changes, different brands of diesel, and cold temperatures may trigger a light or message on the dash.
Don't panic. You may continue driving, but please contact your host if a light comes on. Try to text a photo of the light/message that's showing. If there's a performance issue or message accompanying the light, text/call your host immediately.
What if a tire light comes on? Do I have a flat tire?
If a tire light comes on, you
may have a slow leak, a flat, and most commonly a defective tire pressure sensor. Please slow down and
safely pull over, ideally off the road. Then:
Note: If your tire isn't visibly low, you may continue driving, but keep an eye on it.
All US and European trips are covered by a free 24-hour Roadside Assistance program.
