Definitions

  • arrow_right“Named Warranty Holder” — is Sprinter-Rentals.com, the platform operator that makes the vehicle available to the renter. This is not the individual host or private owner of the vehicle. (As further defined in the policy.)
  • arrow_right“Certificate Holder” — is the person shown on the rental contract or any other authorized driver as named on the rental contract.
  • arrow_right“Rental Start Date” — is the start date as shown on the contract and must coincide with selection of A-Van-Guard.
  • arrow_right“Rental Return Date” — is the date listed on the rental contract or the date the vehicle is actually returned.
  • arrow_right“Actual Cash Value” — is the purchase price less depreciation of the vehicle. Subject to full contract wording. Conditions and exclusions apply.

What is the limit?

For rental vehicles, the A-Van-Guard Program provides limited comprehensive & collision protection with the following limits:

Exclusions

Coverage is not provided for loss due to:

  • closeA. A contract violation by the renter or any other driver (authorized or unauthorized).
  • closeB. Any vehicles other than authorized vans.
  • closeC. If similar coverage is afforded by any valid and collectible insurance, other than the renter’s personal auto policy.
  • closeD. Damage to any other vehicle.
  • closeE. Participation in motor sport or motor racing competition and/or practice.
  • closeF. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, whether prescribed or not.
  • closeG. While committing any unlawful acts.
  • closeH. Vehicles used For-Hire.
  • closeI. Driving on unpaved roads.
  • closeJ. Damages due to trailer use.
  • closeK. Any interior damage including stains, burns, odors, smoke, or smell damage.
  • closeL. Wear and tear, mechanical breakdown, or gradual deterioration.
  • closeM. Pet-related damage (unless pet fee was paid and pet policy strictly followed).
  • closeN. Negligence, misuse, overloading, or improper use of the vehicle.
  • closeO. Damage from personal belongings left in the vehicle.
  • closeP. Loss or damage to personal items of the renter or passengers.
  • closeQ. Flood, water damage, or driving through flooded areas.
  • closeR. Off-road use or driving outside of public roads.

This is an in-house Collision Damage Warranty offered by Sprinter-Rentals.com, not traditional insurance. The purchase of this coverage may duplicate, void, or alter existing coverage you may have. We cannot interpret or advise you on what this program does or does not cover. State laws may limit, vary, or prohibit this program. Any offer described herein is void where prohibited by law.

How to File a Claim

Report any damage within 24 hours. Submit the following:

  • arrow_rightPhotos and videos of the damage (multiple angles)
  • arrow_rightCopy of Rental Agreement
  • arrow_rightCopy of the Driver’s License
  • arrow_rightPolice Report (if applicable)
  • arrow_rightWritten statement from the renter explaining what happened
  • arrow_rightRepair estimate (if available)

schedule All claims must be submitted within 30 days of the incident.

We will review your claim promptly and pay approved amounts directly to the repair shop when possible.
